Job description
- Production Oversight (monitor the end-to-end manufacturing process, adjust workflows based on inventory, and ensure daily production targets (KPIs) are achieved)
- Team Leadership (supervise and motivate a diverse team, assign specific tasks based on skill levels, and manage shift schedules including attendance and time-off requests)
- Safety & Compliance (enforce strict adherence to safety codes (EHS), ensure the use of proper PPE, and conduct preliminary investigations into any workplace accidents)
- Quality Control (audit production processes for conformance to work instructions and perform root cause analysis on process defects or test failures)
- Shift Handover (prepare detailed reports on equipment performance and operational status to ensure a seamless transition for the incoming shift)
- Training & Development (onboard and train new staff on machinery operation (e.g., calibration, reassembly) and conduct performance reviews)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or other equivalent education; prefer an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Has 2–5 years of experience in a snack manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory capacity.
- Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP, Microsoft Office (Excel), and specific machinery operation.
- Certifications: certifications may be required, such as food hygiene for food manufacturing.
- Ability to stand for long periods, work in varied environments (e.g., loud noise, extreme temperatures), and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Exceptional verbal and written skills for reporting to management and providing clear instructions to operators.
- Problem-Solving (ability to troubleshoot technical issues and resolve interpersonal conflicts swiftly)
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills to manage competing production demands.
